A nice view the other morning. I am enjoying the fog in the valley look where the mountains look like islands in a sea of clouds. And the same thing again in the evening.
I was down below the sea of clouds all day at work (not that I get outside much anyways). And according to the other guys in the house it was full on hot summer day midday. This coastal mountain weather is pretty neat, I am digging it so far!

There’s more lakes than anyone knows what to do with here, but I have to admit, some elevation would be nice. That looks amazing.

What elevation do the clouds/fog sit at approximately? Or alternately what is the elevation at your house?

The house is at 1400 feet and the base of that Valley is around 500 feet. It's more like a bowl I guess since it's similar height all around. Except where it empties out to the ocean via a seasonal stream/Canyon.

Thanks, that puts the coastal environment in much better perspective. Your house is at that perfect height you could just walk right out o nto the clouds and lay down.
Between your half square acre outdoor office space and the view it offers. Y ou certainly have it rough.

Well if only the internet worked better and if things like the power turning off randomly didn’t happen. Oh and trash service would be nice to have. It’s 30 minutes drive for gas and groceries. But it's a 15 minute drive to work. So aside from first world problems, it's great!

Very pretty. Here’s a pic of the first mountain on my commute home last weekend.
Fog is pretty, but having to drive through it gets old fast.

It’s a common coastal effect. This is looking west from 1800 feet on Tiger Mountain near Seattle.
